Google Slides - Internet Tools Review #3

Image
Google Slides is a  resource that allows you to create presentations, edit, and present from wherever you are.  The cool thing about it is  that you can collaborate, edit and present with others at the same time.  You can see changes made to presentations as they are made and the changes are automatically saved (it does not matter who makes the changes). It is also a free resource. All you need is a google account/email.  You can also access it on any desktop, mobile, iPad or tablet device.      Google Slides also offers many templates and themes that you can choose from to create your presentation.  You can also search for free templates online if you do not see anything you like that Google Slides has to offer.  It is really easy to navigate.  You are able to add photos, music and transitions for your slides and content on your slides.  You can also add as many slides as you want to your presentation....

TeacherTube - Internet Tools Review #2

Image
I have never heard of TeacherTube and after seeing all that it  has to offer, I'm wondering WHY I have never come across this resource. It is an online community of educational videos along with other resources. It is similar to YouTube but is more for educators and students.  It is easy to navigate and at the top of the webpage, you can choose from different categories of subjects to find lessons on.  There are over 1,000 videos, audios and more to search through.  Anything you are looking for, I'm sure you will find it on here.  Teachers from different districts and states can share instructional videos, lesson plans, assessments and more on this internet tool.  There is no limit to file size or video length which makes it even better! It is a great way for  educators to share, create and learn from each other.    A great feature about this website is that if there are any  inappropriate videos uploaded, it is auto...

Weebly for Education - Internet Tools Review #1

Image
This site can be used to make classroom websites, websites for projects and e-portfolios for students. Weebly also allows you to manage student accounts, accept homework and assignments online and to communicate with parents and keep them updated. The site also allows you to sign up for free. I have always wanted to make a classroom website but have never really explored resources to do so.  It offers different themes to use on your website and can add photos, texts and different pages.  It is a safe platform and learning environment for students because teachers can create classroom accounts, add up to 40 students and also control access.  Through the Teacher Dashboard, teachers are able to see any student updates and also disable any sites if needed. There are many awesome features about this website.  One of my favorites is the ability to easily drag and drop pictures, music, videos, texts and more to give your website the look that you want.  W...
