Weebly for Education - Internet Tools Review #1

This site can be used to make classroom websites, websites for projects and e-portfolios for students. Weebly also allows you to manage student accounts, accept homework and assignments online and to communicate with parents and keep them updated. The site also allows you to sign up for free. I have always wanted to make a classroom website but have never really explored resources to do so.  It offers different themes to use on your website and can add photos, texts and different pages.  It is a safe platform and learning environment for students because teachers can create classroom accounts, add up to 40 students and also control access.  Through the Teacher Dashboard, teachers are able to see any student updates and also disable any sites if needed.

There are many awesome features about this website.  One of my favorites is the ability to easily drag and drop pictures, music, videos, texts and more to give your website the look that you want.  Weebly even has unbranded audio and video selections to save you the hassle of finding things on YouTube or elsewhere.  The blogging features allow you to post homework, assignments, comments and class updates.  The best part - the number of blogs you can post is unlimited!  There are over 70 designs that you can choose from to create the look that you want for your websites and designs are updated regularly.  Maybe you're someone who wants to create your own unique look, no problem! The website allows you to customize and create your own design.  Another one of my favorite features about this website is that it is ad-FREE!  With Weebly, you never have to worry about seeing advertisements popping up on your website.

After exploring this tool and seeing how fun and easy it is to create, I now know what I can use to keep my parents up to date in another way.  I would definitely recommend this site to teachers!
